Yurie Collins is a stand-up comedian based in New York and Tokyo who has become popular for her Kansai accent, quick-witted jokes, and takes on Japanese culture. Collins has a blend of Japanese and American heritage and grew up in a small Japanese town in Wakayama. She studied theater and literature at college in Boston, and later immersed herself in acting in New York City. During the pandemic, Collins returned to Japan and began performing stand-up comedy, connecting with audiences from around the world.
