Shawn Jackson is a Stand up comedian, Writer, and Actor born and raised in the Philadelphia area. knowing at an early age what he wanted to do, Shawn started comedy in 2009, at the young age of 18. Often using fake ID's just to perform at some of Philly's 21+ shows. Shawn got his start doing open mic nights at the Legendary Laff House Comedy club on South st. After doing comedy for only a year, Shawn knew his path so he dropped out of school to pursue his dream. In 2012 Shawn was voted the top 10 Philly's Phunniest at helium Comedy club. In 2015, Shawn made the leap and moved to New York City where he would quickly place his mark on the comedy Mecca. Shawn's national television debut came in 2016 when he performed stand up on AXS TV's "Gotham Comedy Live" hosted by Joy Behar. After touring the country performing for a few years, doing numerous festivals such as the Boston Comedy Festival, Maine Comedy Festival, & Comcast's Trial By Laughter to name a few, Shawn launched Shawn Jackson Entertainment in 2020, and released his first comedy album, "inappropriate" available on all digital streaming platforms. In 2021 Shawn's career is moving full steam ahead with plans of releasing his sophomore comedy album as well as many other endeavors. Catch Shawn traveling the country performing in a town near you.
