Sara Armour

     

As a comedian, Sara has appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, was a finalist in NY’s Funniest Competition now airing on STARZ, and can be heard on Dan Savage’s Hot Mic and Sounds Like America on Audible.com. She has been named a breakout artist by Caroline’s on Broadway and has been a member of the “Betches of Comedy” tour sponsored by betches.com. Sara's comedy has been featured in the New York Times, The New Yorker, Nylon Magazine, and the Washington Post. During 2016-2017 Sara was the co-host of The Moonual, a monthly Full Moon Ritual pop-up event at Caroline's on Broadway, which was covered by Time Out NY, The NY Post, and Galore Magazine. Sara is executive producer of Shining Armour Productions, a full service production company representing a group of fresh directors who are women and/or POC. Before starting Shining Armour, Sara worked with Bryan Elscom at MRB Films as a Development Producer (2010-2017) where she facilitated the production of high-end commercials, corporate videos, experiential installations, and had the opportunity to write and produce a number of original pieces including a prank PSA for the city of Philadelphia which won a Gold Addy Award for writing. Sara is also a certified life + creativity coach. She works with clients 1:1, leads creative teams, teaches creativity + comedy workshops, and facilitates a variety of corporate improv workshops. She works with creatives (and aspiring creatives) to bring their dreams into reality and live more authentic, loving, lives. She also leads moon manifesting groups and is a passionate amateur astrologer. Sara holds a BA in Film and Television production from Boston University and a certificate of ontological coaching from Accomplishment Coaching. She has studied improv at Improv Asylum in Boston, Washington Improv Theatre (where she was also a teacher), and the Upright Citizens Brigade in NY. She has been called "Brilliant" by the Washington Post and "The Jewish JLo" by her mother.
