Mike Cotayo

Mike Cotayo has been captivating audiences for over 20 years. His style is a blend of high-energy performance, quick wit, and engaging crowd work. He is currently preparing for his first Pay-Per-View Comedy Special, “Crossing The Line,” which will be taped live on New Year’s Eve and released on Roku TV. He recently filmed a special for All Media TV set to air in spring 2022. In 2017, Mike was awarded Top Comedian in The Philadelphia Pride Comedy Festival. Mike also guest-starred opposite Colin Quinn on episode 6 of Rise of The Radio Show where he played Colin’s disabled, wheelchair assisted stalker. In May of 2001, at just 24 years old, Mike competed and won Amateur Night at The Apollo. This achievement launched his career and he began performing at The Laugh Factory in Times Square, which ultimately led to him joining The Short Bus Comedy Tour. Mike gained a significant following after appearing on XM’s “The Opie & Anthony Show.” Mike has opened for the late and great Comedians Ralphie May and Patrice O’Neal, after meeting them on Opie and Anthony while promoting the Short Bus Comedy Tour. A fan once approached Mike on the bathroom line to let him know that he had driven two-and-a-half hours just to watch him perform. This awkward tradition continued when two men approached Mike while he was standing at the urinal after a bar show, complimented him on the size of his laughs during his performance. It was equally flattering and disturbing Mike is currently producing the first ever all disabled comedy festival, “The Stand Up If You Can Comedy Festival.” The Festival is scheduled for July, 2022, during Disability Pride Month.
