Kelly Bachman

Kelly Bachman is a writer, comedian, and filmmaker from North Carolina—currently based in New York. On November 12th, she’ll be performing her hour at New York Comedy Festival! As a writer, Kelly has contributed to The New York Times, Glamour, The Guardian, and Reductress. As a comedian and comedy producer, Kelly was interviewed by Elle Magazine to discuss her show, Rape Jokes by Survivors, which was featured at New York Comedy Festival. From that showcase came Kelly and Dylan Adler’s musical comedy duo hour, Rape Victims Are Horny Too, which was released as an album with Comedy Dynamics. Kelly and Dylan have performed the show all over New York and have been written up in Paste, Jezebel, The New York Times, and NowThis. They were listed #2 on Paste’s list of the 12 Best Comedy Albums of 2022, and they pitched their show as a winning project at the Yes, And…Laughter Lab. As a filmmaker, Kelly’s debut short film, BOOBS, premiered at LA Shorts International Film Festival, and she produced a sketch variety web series, Sofa Kingdom, in partnership with National Lampoon. She also released a podcast with National Lampoon! Kelly’s various sketches and shorts have played comedy festivals, including Sketchfest, and have been featured in publications such as Huffington Post. Oh, and one time a show producer invited an infamous serial rapist to watch Kelly perform stand-up comedy. Someone taped Kelly’s set that night and shared it, so Kelly talked to CNN, etc., and then she was featured in an FX/Hulu documentary. When Kelly is not producing her own projects or performing, she supports other artists. Kelly has worked as a freelance filmmaker, editor, and copywriter in New York for nine years.
