Joshua Lampley

Joshua Lampley is originally from Fairview, Tennessee. He was going to try and write this whole bio in third person, but nobody wants to read that. I moved to New York to pursue comedy after performing stand-up and improv for years in Knoxville, Nashville, and other cities in Tennessee that you’ve never heard of. Over the years, I worked a number of jobs: I was a sports writer and host of a sports radio show, wrote freelance articles about gambling odds, edited local newscasts, worked as a production assistant for a murder documentary series, associate produced that murder documentary series, and then was promoted to casting director for that very same murder documentary series. Throughout my not-so-storied career, one thing remained constant: my desire to make people laugh at my own expense. Upon moving to New York City, I worked as a receptionist at an ad agency. After leading the agency soccer team to an impressive 1-5 season (our one win was by forfeit), my agency-wide match recap emails caught the eye of those above me, and I was able to transition into a Copywriter role. Now, I’m here. Ready to write something for you… or captain your soccer team.
