Hanan Issa is a Lebanese comedian and writer born, raised, and based in NYC. She has been featured in Time Out New York, The Comedy Bureau, on Radio Free Brooklyn, and can be seen performing locally and beyond.
In 2023, Hanan was selected as the only new talent comedian for the 20th anniversary of the Arab American Comedy Festival. (pretty cool!)
Also in 2023, Hanan debuted her first solo show, "Halal Habibis," which is a story about a young Muslim woman's journey to get married after navigating lifelong, complex relationships with love, family, and religion. She is currently on tour with her show in the States (and Toronto randomly). Her solo show will afterwards be featured in the 2024 Edinburgh International Fringe Festival where she will be performing her show every day in August. (pray for her)
Hanan also co-produces multiple other projects/shows across NYC. She loves playing Ultimate Frisbee and holding cats.
